Manassas Park, Virginia is bordered by the city of Manassas and Prince William County. It lies approximately 30 miles from Washington, DC. It is primarily residential and is close to the interstate as well as railway transportation. The first homes were built in 1955 as a subdivision in Prince William County. In 1957 Manassas Park gained town status. Some 600 acres were annexed in 1974, and Manassas Park was incorporated as an independent city in 1975. History lovers will appreciate visiting the Conner House. The house was headquarters for a Confederate general after the Battle of First Manassas took place in 1861. Just a year later the home was occupied by Union troops advancing to the Battle of Second Manassas. Those who are looking for a game of golf can visit the General’s Ridge Golf Course. The course offers 18 holes, 6651 yards and par 72. This course is a lovely wooded public facility with amazing views and plenty of wildlife to challenge your golf skills. The hills roll gently, and the tight fairways provide golfers of any level a unique experience.
